For songwriters, inspiration emerges from the different corners of our hearts. Jadyn's song is one inspired by the monumental sadness of a family surrounding a young child afflicted by mitochondrial syndrome, a rare, terminal condition that robbed Jadyn, and subsequently her younger sister, Havyn, of precious life before either of them reached the age of two. The song is meant to acknowledge the family members' unending love and devotion toward their little one(s), while affirming, with faith, the hope of their being together again in heaven. Jadyn and Havyn's mom has been my hairstylist for seventeen years. I am amazed by her strength, courage, and grateful to God for her example of Christ-like love and devotion. I am honored to memorialize her precious daughter(s) in this song.
