Ohhhh, happy day!

Friends I have known for long can’t
recognize it’s me.
“Tell us again,” they say, “how
you suddenly  see?
Ohhh, how can this be?

The sun lights up a world of hue;
the sky reflects my joy!
A miracle from God’s hand, Let
no man destroy,
No man destroy!

All I know is I was blind and now I see.
This means truly happy days for me!
Ohhhh, mercy me!

The pharisees, they badger me.
They question and accuse:
“Is he the one Who calls Himself
“King of the Jews?”
Is he King of the Jews?”

Later Jesus came to me,
asked me if I believed.
When I beheld His face,
I fell to my knees...
Yes, Lord, I believe.

All I know is I was
blind and know I see!
This means truly happy
days for me!
I was blind and now I see!
